Mina Choi Quartet Feat, Legendary Drummer Jeff Hamilton

Internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and conductor Mina Choi brings her celebrated quartet to The Den for a remarkable evening of modern jazz featuring legendary drummer Jeff Hamilton. Blending jazz, classical influences, and the rich traditions of her Korean heritage, Choi's original compositions are known for their lyrical beauty, vibrant harmonies, and emotional storytelling. Her debut big band recording, Stories, featuring George Cables, Alex Acuña, and Bill Cunliffe, earned widespread critical acclaim, with her latest project, East Meets West, continuing to showcase her visionary artistry.

Joining Choi is jazz icon Jeff Hamilton, whose extraordinary career has included performances with Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, the Count Basie Orchestra, Woody Herman, and the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. A four-time Modern Drummer Readers' Poll winner with more than 300 recordings to his name, Hamilton is widely regarded as one of the finest jazz drummers of his generation.
Completing this exceptional ensemble are acclaimed trumpeter Kye Palmer and first-call bassist Edwin Livingston, creating an all-star quartet that delivers elegance, virtuosity, and inspired improvisation in the intimate setting of The Den.
